2023 Guber: Schools Principals Declare for Umo Eno

Principals of Secondary Schools in Akwa Ibom State under the umbrella of All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCORPS) have declared support for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Pastor Umo Eno.

ANCORPS declared it's support when  Pastor Eno accompanied by his campaign team paid a consultation visit on them.

In a motion moved and seconded by Mr. Victor Morgan, Principal Apostolic Secondary School, Ikot Oku Nsit, and Mr. Eseme Nyong, Principal, Community Grammer Secondary School, Ikot Itina, Etinan respectively, they said that after due analysis, they have concluded that Pastor Umo Eno has the capacity, character, competence and passion to further on the peace, security and development trajectory of the state.

In his remarks, the chairman of ANCORPs in the state, Mr. Steve Akpabio commended Pastor Eno for the recognition accorded the organisation and assured that they will support him with their votes as well as back him up prayerfully to ensure success.

While noting that Pastor Eno is the first candidate to consult them, he noted that this gesture was a clear evidence of his sterling leadership quality.

In his presentation, Pastor Umo Eno appreciated the body for accepting to host him and his team for a consultation visit.

He said the visit was to share his thoughts as contained in his economic development blueprint tagged "the ARISE Agenda," stressing that one of the items in the agenda focuses on educational development.

According to him, "I came here today because I know you have value; that's why I came to seek your support and partnership to ensure we have a better education system. By the grace of God, and with your support, when we come on board, we will work out plans to further on what His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel has done in the education sector."

Pastor Eno who was accompanied by his deputy, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, assured that if elected in the forthcoming elections, schools in the state would be remodeled while the free and compulsory education policy of the incumbent administration would also be furthered.

He urged them to extend the message of the ARISE Agenda to their families, friends and loved ones, adding that he was prepared to ensure a golden era education and other sectors of the economy.
