As the campaign train of PDP/Pastor Umo Eno and Akon Eyakenyi berths in Eastern Obolo Local Government Area, the Paramount Ruler, HRM, Rt. Hon. Ubon Etetor has stated that his local government is proud of the gubernatorial candidate.
HRM Elder Ubong Etetor disclosed that as the former Commissioner in the Ministry of Lands and Water Resources, Pastor Umo Eno facilitated amicable payment of compensation to the community for the site of Sterling Petrochemicals & Fertilizer Company.
The monarch stated this when the PDP Campaign team visited him at his palace before proceeding to Okoroette for the campaign rally.
In his words, "You have touched my heart. We still see your footprints in the sands of Eastern Obolo; we are proud of you because of the role you have played, and if God has ordained you for 2023, who else can say no?"
Speaking to his council members, he said Pastor Umo Eno is blessed and ordained by God, and prayed that God will continue to bless him even beyond 2023.
Earlier in his address, the Gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Umo Eno noted that he was abreast with the needs of the area adding that the ARISE Agenda is tilted towards rural development.
Pastor Eno who was in his usual high spirit, promised to partner with stakeholders of the area for their development, and that of the state at large.
Taking a short message from the book of Isaiah 60:1: "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee", he assured all present that their days of prosperity was near and that when elected into office, he would harness the wealth of the sea for the economic growth of the people.
He commended the monarch and his council for their warm reception and reaffirmed that the area will be positively touched in line with the ARISE Agenda.
