Eket Senatorial District (ESD) Women Felicitate Patience Eno Over Husband's Victory at the Polls
Women in Eket Senatorial District, under the auspices of Eket Senatorial District Women Association, have congratulated Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, wife of Akwa Ibom State's Governor-Elect, Pastor Umo Eno, on her husband's victory at the recently concluded gubernatorial election in the state.
Speaking on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, during a congratulatory meeting with the First Lady in waiting in Eket, President of the group, Mrs. Idara Ephraim Akpan, said that the victory at the polls was a proof of the confidence the people of the state have in the capacity of the Governor elect.
Mrs. Akpan, however, pleaded with the First Lady in waiting to take seriously the concerns of women in the state when she assumes office in May, 29, 2023.
Responding, Patience Eno thanked the women for finding time to share with her in her moment of joy and for their unwavering support during the campaigns and on the election day.
She pledged to prioritise women, carry them along and give them a voice in government when she gets into office.
