Pastor Umo Eno's pledge to Oron Nation
Pastor Umo Eno has shared his vision of moving Akwa Ibom forward as encapsulated in his ARISE Agenda and explained how the charter will impact Oron Nation in precise terms.
For the basics, Pastor Umo Eno made the following pledges to Oro nation:
- Actualisation of Ibom Deep Seaport and resolution of all lingering issues associated thereto
- To enhance human capital development and ensure Poverty reduction
- Agricultural Revolution
- Rural development
- Development of the 129km shoreline by transforming same into an economic corridor
- Reviving the tourism potentialities of the Oro Nation coastline
- Establishment of a responsive Marine transport system
- Institution of an efficient Marine Police Department to check piracy and ensure security across the Oron Nation coastline
- Facilitate and harness all opportunities of wealth creation from the variety of seafoods available in the immense marine gift of nature which Oron Nation is blessed with
Such a thorough Needs assessment of all five Local Government Areas of Oron Nation by Pastor Umo Eno is commendable and worth supporting.
Pastor Umo Eno, the Akwa Ibom State Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, made the pledge when he undertook a consultation visit today, Wednesday, February 1, 2023 to stakeholders of Oron Nation, including the Council of Oron Traditional Ruler's, COTR, Oron Union and the Esuu Nlap Oro.
