TEAM UMO ENO DIASPORA CELEBRATES 59th BIRTHDAY OF PASTOR UMO ENO AT THE SPECIAL CHILDREN’S HOME

In line with the special charity donation directive of Pastor Umo Eno in commemoration of his 59th birthday, Team Umo Eno Diaspora was not left out in the special celebration across Akwa Ibom State. 

In compliance with the directive, the US-based group leader, Ms. Linda Akon Umoh mobilized her delegates on ground for the official visit to the Akwa Ibom State Government Special Children’s Home. 

The special birthday charity visit took place on April 25, 2023 and the matron, Mrs. Ben Udoekwere gave a warm reception to the visitors who presented gift items ranging from pharmaceuticals, toiletries, staple food, toys, and fashion items. 

In her official statement, she gave resounding commendations of items presented to the special children and gave a summary of the center's operations with emphasis on needs assessment for intervention by Team Umo Eno Diaspora. 

Also, positive remarks were given to the Akwa Ibom State First Lady, Mrs. Martha Udom on her interventions in minimizing incidents of child trafficking and curbing the stigmatization of vulnerable children being accused of witchcraft. 

The matron further reeled out the strides of the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Dr. Ini Adiakpan in the implementation of the Child Right Act and special intervention programs that prioritized the welfare of the vulnerable children in Akwa Ibom State. 

The International Coordinator of Team Umo Eno Diaspora, Ms. Linda Akon Umoh was represented by her Mobilization Coordinator, Engr Emmanuel Ubom who gave resounding remarks on the essence of the charity works in commemoration of Pastor Umo Eno's 59th birthday with greater prospects for future intervention regarding humanitarian assistance in areas of healthcare, education, housing, and child protection. 

He emphasized the need to support Pastor Umo Eno's administration for the furtherance of sustainable peace and the advancement of culture, science, sports, and the protection of cultural and natural heritage. 

He pledged that Team Umo Eno Diaspora will promote the right of the underprivileged and internally displaced children in IDPs and will work with any Diaspora Engagement Program to play an advocacy role in humanitarian intervention programs and establish a partnership with international, multilateral donor agencies and philanthropists in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
