Pastor Umo Eno makes more promises to Akwa Ibom people
In continuation of his far-reaching consultations with various groups, the Gubernatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, met with the Assembly of Clan Heads, the Clan of Family Heads and Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, the foremost socio-cultural organization in the state.
In the course of those consultations, he made some promises to Akwa Ibom people, namely:
- Improved welfare and respect for traditional rulers.
- Attendance at meetings of Paramount Rulers and Clan Heads at least twice a year.
- Working with the the State House of Assembly to amend the existing law to allow for the recognition and certification of Family Heads within his first year in office as Governor.
- Building on the foundation of the Udom Emmanuel Administration in rural development, health care, infrastructure, welfare of workers and security.
- Maintenance of peace which is the most essential ingredient to development.
Some of these promises are already contained in his economic blueprint, the ARISE Agenda, which he took time to explain and share to his hosts.
And he made it clear that he was only promising things he knew he would be able to do.
The reception at each venue was tumultuous for the man with proven capacity, competence, character and compassion.
As the elections get closer, we appeal to Akwa Ibom people to continue to support Pastor Umo Eno and the PDP till victory is achieved.
