Umo Eno Presents Certificate of Return to Prelate Mbang
In line with his apostolic inclination, Governor-elect of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno has promised to run a Christocenteric administration, sustain the peace and further development in the state.
Pastor Eno stated this on a vist to show his Certificate of Return to Prelate emeritus of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr. Sunday Mbang.
He emphasized that his successful election is a victory for the church, adding that the light of God shall continue to prevail over darkness in the state.
Pastor Eno, who was accompanied by his wife, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Eno said his victory was made possible by God and the entire Akwa Ibom people reaffirmed his determination and commitment to wholeheartedly serve the people.
He appreciated the Fathers of Faith, Fathers in Faith and christendom generally for their prayers and support which according to him, led to an overwhelming success at the polls.
Pastor Eno who is an ordained minister of God, promised to raise the banner of light and assured that he would not disappoint the body of Christ.
In his remarks, Prelate Mbang who began the short session with Bible readings and praises to God, said he never had any doubt that Pastor Umo Eno will succeed Governor Udom Emmanuel.
He therefore prayed for a successful tenure for the governor-elect and urged him to make the word of God his daily companion, a lamp unto his feet, and a light unto his path.
The one- time Christian Association of Nigeria ( CAN) President and former President, World Methodist Council, congratulated the governor-elect, wife, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Eno, and the Deputy Governor-elect, Senator Akon Eyakenyi and prayed that God will continue to bless and favour them especially in the new responsibilities that await them.
He stated that he had no doubt that Pastor Eno has the capacity and competence to take Akwa Ibom to the next level of development.
