UMO ENO: WEATHERING THE STORMS ON THE PATHWAY TO THE HILLTOP MANSION

The PDP Governorship Candidate in Akwa Ibom State, today, seems to be the most vilified, the most abused, and the most insulting person insults have been thrown at.
But in all these, Umo Eno has remained unperturbed, and has fixed his eyes on the prize, which is the ultimate crown.
"I told the people from day one, that I didn't forge my certificates, it's one of those things you see in politics,the truth is this, the road to power has never been easy, so I understand that personally, I bear no grudge against anybody, because, 1, I'm a child of God, 2, I'm a Pastor, I forgive everyone, now, tomorrow, I forgive everyone."
The above were the words of Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, when he was fielding questions from Journalists, on the issues surrounding his certificates.
He had maintained that the road to power, hasn't been an easy one. No one has ever rode to power on a smooth sail.
The roads are usually bumpy, the seas are usually rough, the days are usually ruffled with thorns of scornful words.
But Umo Eno has made focus his watchword and his daily living doses. To navigate to the Hilltop Mansion in Akwa Ibom State is no tea party.
Attah never had it smooth, Akpabio never had it easy, Udom never had it on a bed of roses, so, Umo Eno won't be an exception.
Sometimes, it could be depressing and demoralizing, and one could wish to give up in the race, if you do not stay committed to the ideals of what drove your passion.
As passionate as Umo Eno is, to work for the betterment and interest of the State, there are people, who are willing tools to spoil the party.
But one thing is certain, the gathering and spreading of the storms are what Umo Eno is weathering.
The people up against him, should know that, the person they are dealing with, is a RESOLUTE UMO ENO.
Once a man understands that the storms on his way to leadership is what he needs to surpass to get to the throne, it is difficult to break such a man.
It is also difficult to defeat Umo Eno, who has come to understand the power game and in the overall interest of every single Akwa Ibom People, Umo Eno knows the forces he is up against.
All these storms, will make him a better Governor, and shape his administration, to be a people oriented government and in the end, Akwa Ibom People will have the last laugh after May 29, 2023, when he is sworn in as our Governor.
