Pastor Umo Eno will leave no Community behind

Principle number 2 of the United Nations outlined Sustainable Development Development Goals(SDGs), projected to be achieved by 2030 is, "Leave no one behind (LNOB)."

It proposes to ensure that the universal quest to eradicate poverty in all it's forms from member States, will be implemented without any form of discrimination, exclusion or inequality.

The ground rule is unequivocal.

No one, irrespective of race, gender, political affiliation, religious inclination, colour, social status and vulnerabilities will be left behind. That's a commendable principle and every responsible Government the world over is obligated to abide by this vision.

The Governor-Elect of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno has already set his mind on this notion. When Pastor Umo Eno visited the Palace of the Oku Ibom Ibibio, His Eminence, Ntenyin Solomon Etuk, to present his Certificate of Return to the Traditional Father's, he committed his administration to this solemn declaration:

"I assure you that there’ll be no Ibibio Government, no Annang Government, no Oro Government, but there will be an Akwa Ibom State Government a and every community in this State will be touched."

Rural development is top on Pastor Umo Eno's agenda. His confessed determination is to reverse the unhelpful trend of mass migration to urban centres. His stated strategy is an avowal to ensure that every Ward in Akwa Ibom State feels the developmental impact of Government.

If ballot papers get to every polling unit during elections, then why not development? That's Pastor Umo Eno's mindset. He insists every community will get something. Health centre, school blocks, electricity, pipe borne water, road, housing estate, market, skill acquisition centre, farm settlements, etc,. At the very least, one thing or the other. Never nothing at all.

Pastor Umo Eno will stem rural Urban drift by fighting poverty and creating opportunities of making wealth for the people. His ARISE Agenda is essentially tailored to drive the millennium sustainable development goals.

Agricultural revolution, Rural development, Infrastructural Maintainance and Expansion, Security Management, and Education Advancement are the focus of his core remedies to the social poverty malaise. The sum total and sub sets of the ARISE agenda is envisioned to Leave no one behind.

English Premier league club, Liverpool adopted and chant the song, "You'll Never Walk Alone." Composed by Richard Rodgers in 1945, their fans famously known as the Kop's, sing it with aplomb since 1963. Trust this saying and hold it to be true - with Pastor Umo Eno as Governor, no Akwa Ibom Community will walk alone. There will be something for every community.
